Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau Voted #1 Bureau in Northeast by Readers of Successful Meetings Magazine
The Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau has been selected to receive the prestigious 2003 Successful Meetings Pinnacle Award--the mark of excellence for convention & visitors bureaus. This is the 11th time that Boston has won the award, and the 7th year in a row that the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau has been named the #1 Bureau in the 11-state northeast region of the United States. Industry experts liken Pinnacle to other prestigious travel awards like the Mobil 5-Star and the AAA 5-Diamond.
"It's an honor to once again have been voted by our clients as the best convention & visitors bureau in the Northeast," said Patrick B. Moscaritolo, President & CEO of the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau. "We work hard -- but we don't do it alone. We work as a team with the whole city - and what planners end up seeing and experiencing is a destination that cares about their business and knows that if their meeting or event is a success for them, it's a success for us."
The readers of Successful Meetings Magazine -- corporate and association executives with meeting planning responsibilities -- used a ballot in the December issue to select those organizations that have done an outstanding job servicing their meetings, incentive travel programs, trade shows and conventions during the previous year. They chose the winning organizations based on the following criteria: · Overall service/support to meetings, incentive travel programs, trade shows and conventions · Overall quality of destination, hotels, meeting and trade show facilities · Promotional support · Supplier information · Registration and housing assistance The Pinnacle Awards allow readers to pick the best meeting destination support organizations in five U.S. regions (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, West) and internationally.
Thanks to all of you who voted for us! We continue to work hard to help you make your meeting a success.
